Epileptic Seizure Detection 10 seconds before event

DATAPLASTICITY breakthrough research using Single-Period Single-Frequency EEG analysis.

Approximately 10-Second Pre-Seizure Detection

As indicated in the presentation slides below, the DATAPLASTICITY algorithm analyzes the EEG signal to detect the seizure pattern approximately 10 seconds before the epileptic seizure begins. The display identifies the pre-seizure aura, the seizure interval, and the post-seizure aura, providing a visual comparison of the aura-related EEG activity before and after the event.

The presentation shows these approximately 10-second pre-event and post-event detection regions in the Single-Period Single-Frequency (SPSF) correlation coefficient display, allowing the patient-specific signal changes surrounding the seizure to be viewed directly.

EEG Analysis of Epileptic Seizures from the MIT Database

The purple boxes show detection of the epileptic seizure recorded at 256 Hz shown in the red box, approximately 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the seizure. This is an aura detection.
